The flag on the city council in Subotica was displayed on the occasion of St. Joseph Day, which the Croatian minority celebrates as one of its four national holidays.
"Let this flag symbolise the survival of Croats in this region for a very long time," the president of the Croatian National Council in Serbia and Montenegro, Josip Pekanovic, said.
The Croatian minority will be able to display its symbols during its national holidays at the headquarters of local self government units with Croatian representatives - Subotica, Sobmor and Apatin.
