According to Russian news agencies, Baburin has been in touch with Milosevic's family.
Mirjana Markovic has agreed that Milosevic should be buried in Belgrade, but she will not attend the funeral, Baburin said, adding that Markovic did not consider security guarantees given by the Serbian government sufficient.
A vice-president of the Socialist Party of Serbia, Milorad Vucelic, told Serbian state television on Tuesday evening that Milosevic would be buried in Serbia.
He also said that he expected members of the Milosevic family to arrive in Belgrade in the next few days since the necessary conditions had been met.
Serbian media on Wednesday reported that Milosevic would be buried in Belgrade.
