National committee chief Pusic receives Montenegrin official

ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian National Committee for monitoring Croatia's European Union accession negotiations, Vesna Pusic, on Monday received the head of the Montenegrin council for European integration processes, Nebojsa Medojevic, the Croatian parliament said in a press release.

Pusic and Medojevic talked about the roles of those two bodies in the aspirations of their respective countries to join the European Union.

Medojevic said that his country expected the European Commission to give a positive opinion on granting it EU candidate status soon.

The tasks awaiting Montenegro will be to appoint its negotiating team and chief negotiator for prospective EU membership talks as well to create an administrative structure for holding the negotiations with Brussels.
