Two-day conference of regional liberal parties starts in Osijek

OSIJEK, Oct 2 (Hina) - The Liberal Leaders Meeting of South East Europe began in Osijek on Saturday and the event was organised by the Croatian People's Party (HNS) in cooperation with LIBSEEN, which is a South East European alliance of liberal parties, and with the National Democratic Institute from the USA and the Dutch Democrats 66 political party.

Addressing a news conference ahead of the two-day gathering, HNS official and LIBSEEN network chairwoman Vesna Pusic spoke about the importance of the liberal option not only for Croatia but also for 11 LIBSEEN members.

The meeting, which brought together officials of liberal parties from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, will finish with the adoption of the Osijek declaration on LIBSEEN political views.
