"We are talking about all possible options, and the final solution will depend on the interests of both sides. Croatia's interest is the long-term and stable provision of gas, and our partner has its business interests," Popijac said in Zagreb on Friday.
The first annex to the Gas Master Agreement between the Croatian government and MOL on the divestiture of the gas business from INA stipulates for the postponement of the government's obligation to buy the gas business by 1 December 2010.
The ministers said that things had changed since 2007 and 2008, when the two partners had negotiated this topic.
He mentioned the possibility of liberalising the gas market and the arrival of other natural gas distributers upon the interconnection between the Croatian and Hungarian gas networks.
"We have agreed that we can talk about various solutions," he said.
