During an open and friendly conversation, the two officials expressed satisfaction with the achieved level of bilateral relations, noting that they should develop further, especially in the economic sector.
Mesic presented his view of the situation in Southeast Europe and Croatia's relations with its neighbours, citing Kosovo as the most serious issue in the region.
Pirinski fully agreed with Mesic's views, highlighting the need to upgrade the Dayton peace agreement. He added that there were objective possibilities for Croatia to play an even more important role in the region and become constructively involved in efforts to settle all outstanding issues in Southeast Europe.
