Sanader and Pirinski highlighted the good political relations between the two countries as a foundation for the promotion of bilateral relations in other areas.
Croatia and Bulgaria play a special role in creating political stability in Southeast Europe, the press release said.
Sanader proposed expanding the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) with a view to stabilising the region and boosting trade. He noted that the proposal was made in consultation with his Bulgarian and Romanian counterparts.
