euro.
ZAGREB, Feb 2 (Hina) - The Croatian National Bank (HNB) on
Thursday intervened on the foreign exchange market by buying at an auction 35.5
million euros from commercial banks at the mean exchange rate of 7.348358 kuna
for one euro. This is the first intervention by the central bank on
the foreign exchange market this year.
The mean exchange rate, as defined by the HNB, today was 7.338478 kuna
for one euro.
Thanks to the central bank's move, the kuna appreciated by 0.14 percent
against the euro.
