The event is aimed at promoting Croatia's tourist services on the Russian market, the HTZ reported.
Last year, 82,000 Russian tourists visited Croatia and made 700,000 overnight stays. The HTZ expects 20 percent more tourists from Russia this year.
Apart from a news conference, which pooled some 60 reporters, also held within Croatian Tourist Day was a workshop of Russian and Croatian tour operators.
Croatian Evening, at which the country's tourism and gastronomy will be presented, is scheduled to take place tonight in Moscow's Sol hotel. The event will be attended by politicians and public figures from Moscow and numerous Russian tour operators and reporters.
