ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - The Croatian pharmaceutical company Pliva saidon Thursday that its affiliated company AWD pharma GmbH&Co fromGermany had signed a contract with the Italian pharmaceutical companyMenarini Group on the sale of a production plant within the AWDcompany in Dresden.
ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - The Croatian pharmaceutical company Pliva said on Thursday that its affiliated company AWD pharma GmbH&Co from Germany had signed a contract with the Italian pharmaceutical company Menarini Group on the sale of a production plant within the AWD company in Dresden.

The chief executive director and president of the Pliva management board, Zeljko Covic, said the sale represented a key step in the process of the consolidation of Pliva's production.

Pliva has already started moving the production from the AWD plant to its locations in eastern Europe. The process is expected to be completed by 2008.
