In a statement for the Banja Luka Independent Paper of Wednesday, he rejected the Bosnian Serb entity's responsibility for fires in southern Croatia's Adriatic resort of Dubrovnik, but announced that individual responsibility would be established if it existed.
Dubrovnik officials and fire-fighters claim that fires are being set in Republika Srpska at night so that they could spread to Croatian territory and Dubrovnik at the height of the tourist season.
The international community's High Representative to Bosnia, Miroslav Lajcak, visited Trebinje in the Serb entity on Tuesday, saying the fires should not be politicised but jointly put out.
