ZAGREB, April 1 (Hina) - The Croatian national archives system
called ARHiNET, that paves the way for full computerisation of the archives
services in Croatia, was presented last week by the Croatian Culture Ministry
and the Croatian State Archives (HDA). During the presentation of
the project last Wednesday, Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic spoke about the
importance of the process of digitising archival material and making it
available on-line.
The head of the Croatian State Archives, Stjepan Cosic, added that the
archives in the country keep more than 100 million documents, books,
photographs, films and other material. So far, 60 percent of the archives
material has been digitised.
