ZAGREB, March 22 (Hina) - Croatia's national committee monitoring accession negotiations with the European Union on Thursday discussed the country's positions on four policy chapters from the EU acquis communautaire - financial
services, justice, freedom and security, consumer and health protection, and external relations.

accession negotiations with the European Union on Thursday discussed the
country's positions on four policy chapters from the EU acquis communautaire -
financial services, justice, freedom and security, consumer and health
protection, and external relations. The committee also considered
reports on the screening regarding the policy chapters on food safety,
veterinary and phytosanitary policy and trans-European networks.
So far, Croatia has opened five chapters out of 35 that are topics of
the negotiations.
Croatia and the EU have provisionally closed two chapters on science
and research and on education and culture.
