SARAJEVO, March 28 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said upon arriving in Sarajevo on Wednesday he was bringing Bosnia and Herzegovina new proposals for the settlement of outstanding issues, notably for the status of the southern Croatian seaport of Ploce.

"We are bringing a draft agreement on the port of Ploce. In it we are proposing, and then we will talk about this, that Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a major user of the port, should have the status of most privileged nation," Sanader told the press.

He said the proposal meant special terms for Bosnia and Herzegovina, but added that in the future, once the highway on the Vc corridor between the two countries was completed, Croatian companies would have identical privileges when transporting commodities through Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sanader said the border issue would also be addressed during his two-day visit. He said bilateral relations were good and friendly, underlining that Croatia wanted to see a stable Bosnia and Herzegovina safely integrating with Euro-Atlantic institutions.

This is Sanader's first official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina which begins on Thursday with talks with the chairman of the Council of Ministers, Nikola Spiric. The two sides are expected to sign a dual citizenship agreement.

Sanader will also be received by the three members of the state presidency and meet with members of the state parliament.

Asked if he would meet with the leaders of the HDZ BiH and HDZ 1990 parties, Sanader said he would if there was time.
