WASHINGTON, April 1 (Hina) - Croatia's admission to NATO is the
most important event in the history of the Croatian diaspora in America, the
head of the Croatian Federation of Croatian Americans (NFCA), Ed Andrus, told
Hina on Wednesday after Croatia and Albania official joined the alliance by
depositing their accession instruments in Washington earlier in the day. Croatia has joined the United States and other 27 members of the alliance
in the joint defence against aggression, said Andrus who is at the helm of the
umbrella association of people of Croat descent living in the United States.
In recent years, this association strongly lobbied for Croatia's NATO

The NFCA is grateful for and proud of having played an important role
towards the legislative and executive branches of the U.S. authorities during
many years, which has led to the achievement of the most important foreign
