The United States deems the EU enlargement as one of the most important contributions to the further stabilisation of southeastern Europe and membership of southeastern European countries into NATO and the EU is one of priorities for the USA, as well as for Croatia, Bozinovic said adding that his talks with other officials in the State Department and the Pentagon also focused on the situation in the region and on the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
The United States views Croatian troops in Afghanistan one of more valuable resources, he said.
