ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - The book "Hrvatska, Europa, Europska
unija" ("Croatia, Europe, the European Union" in an unofficial translation) by
the first Croatian President Franjo Tudjman will be launched on 12 May in
Zagreb on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of Tudjman's birth. He was born
on 14 May 1922 and died on 10 December 1999 in Zagreb. The book,
edited by academician Dubravko Jelcic, compiles Tudjman's articles, speeches
and interviews as well as his unpublished texts on the relations between
Croatia and Europe and Croatia's European Union aspirations.
Jelcic told Hina that Tudjman's political doctrine emphasised that
Croatia was always in Europe as its integral part. He added that Tudjman was
neither euro-sceptic nor euro-fanatic.
