The top candidate on this coalition list is IDS vice-president and a member of the Croatian parliament, Damir Kajin.
Presenting the list, IDS President Ivan Jakovcic said that this slate consisted of 21 women and 20 men, adding that this showed that the IDS was the first major party to have more women than men among candidates.
In addition, the list includes five representatives of the Italian minority and one representative of the Bosniak, Serb, Montenegrin and Albanian minorities each which Jakovcic interpreted as "a mirror of Istria".
Addressing the event, Kajin criticised the Croatian government's plans to privatise the Uljanik shipyard in Pula, and asked the Ivo Sanader cabinet to engage local authorities in the decision-making process concerning the Pula-based shipyard.
