Unemployment reached a lower rate in May than expected by six macro-economist analysts polled by Hina. Their expectations revolved around 17.4 percent on the average.
According to recent statistics issued by the Croatian Employment Service, in May 296,438 Croatians were without employment, or four percent fewer than in April but by 15.7 percent more than in May 2009.
The reduction of the number of unemployed people on the monthly level is ascribed to seasonal jobs.
