SPLIT, March 6
(Hina) - Gale-force winds continued to cause problems
in the coastal city of Split on Friday, causing extensive damage to a
facility where an international business fair was taking place as well
as in Makarska, some 80 kilometres south of Split. The temperature on
Biokovo, a mountain range running along the Dalmatian coast, was -8
degrees Celsius and snowdrifts were up to two metres high in some
places.
