Ammaniti is the winner of the most important Italian literary award, Strega. He has sold, in Italy alone, hundreds of thousands of copies of his books that have been translated into 44 languages and many of which have been adapted for screen.
The last of the films based on his works is "Me and you", directed by Bernardo Bertolucci.
His novels that have been translated into Croatian are "I am not scared", "Mud", "As God commands" and "Let the games begin".
The Theatre of Philosophy panel discussion will be moderated by Srecko Horvat, who will interview Ammaniti.
