Speaking of the event's programme, TZGZ head Martina Bienenfeld said this past Friday a new addition to this year's Advent in Zagreb would be an ice park with an ice-rink, to be opened in the Trg Kralja Tomislava square opposite the Central Train Station.
Speaking of other happenings, Bienenfeld said that sky lanterns would be released from the city's central market place Dolac on December 26, that the New Year's Festival would be held in the Bocarski Dom hall, and that the Ad Gloriam Brass ensemble would hold concerts from balconies in Tkalciceva Street and from balconies of the Croatian National Theatre in the Marshal Tito Square.
Advent in Zagreb will officially start on November 29, when the first Advent candle will be lit on a wreath at the Mandusevac fountain in the central Trg Bana Josipa Jelacica square.
Bienenfeld said the TZGZ was already registering an increase in bookings by domestic and foreign tourists, notably from Great Britain and Italy and Slovenia.
Apart from the TZGZ, also participating in the organisation of the event are the City of Zagreb, the Zagreb Concert Directorate, and numerous cultural institutions and small businesses.
