In the absence of any significant market moving news, vegetable oils drifted downwards in line with early losses in Chicago soybean oil futures. Soy and rape oil closed one to 1.50 guilders down from Monday's finish. Trade was confined to soy oil, with 124 and 122.50 guilders paid for Jan and Feb/Apr respectively. The palm oil sector ended the day mostly unchanged to $7.50 lower. RBD oil attracted the only trade of the afternoon at $540 for Feb material. Lauric oils closed $5 to $10 easier, with trade restricted to a couple of switches on coconut oil, which were from Dec/Jan at $555 in to Jan/Feb at $570, and Dec/Jan at $550 in to Feb/Mar at $580.
