Both buyers and sellers adopted a cautious stance, pending further developments on the futures market on Monday. Several traders queried whether the latest advance could be sustained, in the face of the prospect of abundant crops, both in the U.S. and elsewhere in the Northern Hemisphere. With these bearish opinions still colouring sentiment, little fresh business appeared to be under serious consideration, and market reports were dominated by a wait-and-see-attitude, traders said. 161020 MET sep 97
