Merino fleece was mostly cheaper, with 19/20/24/25 microns slightly cheaper, 21/22/23m up to one percent cheaper and 26m unchanged. Merino skirtings of 19m were unchanged, with 20/21/22m up to one percent dearer. Crossbreds were mixed, with 27/28m 1.5 percent dearer, 29m 2.5 percent dearer, 30m one percent cheaper and 31 0.5 percent cheaper. In cardings, light carbonising locks were one percent cheaper and crutchings firm. WI said Japanese interests, Western Europe and China were principal buyers with good support from most trade sectors. Of the 15,726 bales offered, 10.4 percent were passed in. In early Fremantle trading, merino fleece was mostly unchanged, with 21/22/23m generally unchanged, 24m one percent dearer, and 25m unchanged.
