Trading sources said the report is not expected to nudge the market out of its current range as many players remain on the sidelines before the U.S. Department of Agriculture's monthly crop report. An estimated 5,500 lots changed hands compared with Tuesday's official 4,817 lots. The December contract closed 0.05 cent lower at 75.36 cents a lb, having ranged from 75.60 to 75.10 cents. The rest of the board ended 0.03 cent higher to 0.17 cent lower. The October contract closed at a 0.10 cent premium to December compared with a 0.02 cent on Tuesday. 310957 MET jul 97
