Small amounts of business are understood to have been concluded against shipment requirements extending through to the middle of the year. Growths in demand have included Central Asian styles in France and Portugal, though the latter has also noted fresh enquiry for West African styles, which are considered attractive on price grounds. Many traders now await an indication from Italy of its potential requirements following the return to work after the holidays. 081152 MET jan 98
