SPLIT, Dec 4 (Hina) - "The Seed of Peace," a pacifist group of
citizens from various countries based in the American town of
Worchester, Mass., staged a peace rally in Split on Saturday.
Participants held placards with messages of love and peace as well
as signatures of citizens of the United States, Scandinavian
countries, Austria and others, in order to convince the nations in
former Yugoslavia to carry out their intentions without violence,
revenge and killing.
About 20 "Seed of Peace" activists handed out leaflets with the
text in both Latin and Cyrillic scripts, which angered a group of
young Croatian soldiers. A group of reporters from Split calmed the
soldiers down.
The members of "Seed of Peace" are travelling on their peace
mission to Mostar tomorrow.
