ZAGREB, Nov 6 (Hina) - The humanitarian action aimed at gathering
food supplies, clothes as well as money as the relief assistance
for the Croats in the valley of the Lasva River (Central Bosnia)
commenced in Zagreb on Friday.
The head of the Society of the Croats from Central Bosnia, Mr.
Juraj Bokunic, stressed that "about 70,000 exhausted Bosnian
Croats, 12,000 of them children are at the moment situated on the
territory of five square kilometres. Their lives depend on our
help." Mr. Bokunic also emphasized that the Franciscan hospital
in Nova Bila had to function in terrible conditions. He
appealled to all the residents of Zagreb and Split to gave their
donation to this action of collecting necessary relief aid for
the Bosnian Croats in need.
