KARLOVAC, Nov 30 (Hina) - At the Turanj check-point, near Karlovac talks
were held today between the representatives of the Croatian Army and the
Karlovac police administration on one side and the rebel Serbs from
Kordun, according to the press conference in Karlovac. The talks were
also attended by UNPROFOR Sector North officials.
The negotiations claimed that the ceasefire agreement was respected by
both sides, especially in Turanj where until recently the conflicts had
been most common. At the Lika frontline small arms provocations were
recorded. Croatian Army had reached an agreement with the rebel Serbs on
the repairs on the power lines in Mekusje, Turanj, Sajevac and Miksici.
These works are planned to start in the coming days and in UNPROFOR's
presence.
The Serbs were presented with a list of 200 Serbs from Croatia who had
expressed their wish to visit their families at the occupied territory
of Kordun.
