ZAGREB, Nov 22 (Hina) - Head of the Office for National Security
Hrvoje Sarinic received Monday American Special Envoy at the
negotiations on the former Yugoslavia Charles Redman accompanied
by American Ambassador to Croatia Peter W. Galbraith.
The American side expressed its concern because humanitarian
convoys were not allowed a free passage through Bosnia-
Herzegovina. Competent authorities of the Republic of Croatia
were requested to exert all their influence on the authorities of
Herzeg-Bosnia in order to make possible free passage of
humanitarian convoys.
Sarinic informed the guests about the difficult position of
Croats in Bosnia who were in their enclaves encircled by Muslims.
Answering the question on the continuation of the negotiations
with Serbs, Sarinic said that the negotiations would be resumed
soon. The priority aim of the negotiations will be the opening of
roads, oil pipelines and transmission lines between the Republic
of Croatia and so-called Yugoslavia.
The negotiations with Serbs will also focus on the most delicate
political issues, as it is the status of the temporarily occupied
areas in Croatia, concluded SARINIC.
