OSIJEK, Nov 20 (Hina) - Military representatives of the Croatian
and Serb sides met Saturday at the UNPROFOR check-point in
Sarvas. The meeting was organized and led by General Major Pierre
Peeters, the UNPROFOR Commander in Sector East.
The Croatian side was represented by Gen.Major Djuro Decak and
the Serb side by Colonel Bogdan Sladojevic.
In behalf of UNPROFOR, Peeters said that he was satisfied with
honoring of the ceasefire agreement which had come in force on 7
November. He stressed that three commissions were formed in order
to monitor respecting of the agreement.
The progress has been made and now the both sides should talk,
said Peeters.
The UNPROFOR representative also said that the both sides
reached in principle an agreement on the establishing of buffer
zones.
