SKOPJE, Nov 18 (Hina) - Wednesday night Serbian border police
returned two Macedonian policemen and a soldier at the border
crossing Lojane near Kumanovo, said the Macedonian Ministry of the
Interior on Thursday.
Macedonian sources said a group of armed men from Serbia had
kidnapped the three Macedonians after the Macedonian patrol
attempted to prevent two Serbian vehicles from smuggling 400 litres
of petrol into the so-called Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
The Macedonian Foreign Ministry lodged a note of strong protest
with the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry over the incident.
The Yugoslav Army headquarters reported today that the Yugoslav
Army had stopped and disarmed the Macedonian policemen and the
soldier yesterday, accusing them of entering 150 metres into the
Yugoslav territory, said France Presse.
