ZAGREB, Dec 7 (Hina) - A round table session titled 'Croatia and
the European Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and
Fundamental Freedoms' today began in Zagreb at the Croatian Lawyers
Chambers.
The two-day session was convened by the Zagreb Law Faculty,
the Croatian Foreign Ministry and the Council of Europe.
Conference participants were welcomed by officials from the
Foreign Ministry, Justice Ministry and the Law Faculty.
Head of the Council of Europe's Office for human rights, A,
Drzemczewski and J.A. Frowein, co-director of Max Planck Institute
on Comparative Public and International Law J.A Frowein, Croatia's
eminent law experts, and Ministry officials, were all expected to
address the round table.
