CROATIA'S DOCTORS APPEAL TO WHO FOR AID TO BIHAC HOSPITAL

ZAGREB, Dec 6 (Hina) - Croatia's doctors today appealed to the World Health Organization (WHO) to exert its influence so that the Bihac-bound convoy with 80 tonnes of food and medicines, that has been blocked at the check-point of Moscenica, UNPA Sector North of Croatia since Saturday, should be allowed a free passage to its destination. The doctors warn in the appeal that "there are more than 1,000 wounded soldiers and civilians, among whom women and children, in the Bihac Hospital," adding that the patients are lodged in bad conditions without food, water and medicines, facing the coming winter. The children are hungry, the wounded and other patients are practically sentenced to death if no humanitarian aid is soon dispatched there, according to the doctors' appeal to the WHO.
