SPLIT, Dec 5 (Hina) - British Defence Minister, Malcolm Rifkind
arrived today in the Croatian seaport of Split for talks with UN
commander in Bosnia, Lt.Gen. Sir Michael Rose. They will discuss
the future of UN troops in Bosnia.
Immediately after his arrival, Rifkind gave a short briefing
saying that the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina was "very
worrying". If such developments continued, that could make UN peace
mission "totally impossible", he said.
Rifkind on Tuesday is expected to visit some of the 3,000
British peacekeepers in Bosnia, and afterwards he will meet UN
special envoy Yasushi Akashi in Zagreb, as Reuters reported.
