STATEMENTS BY MINISTERS HURD, JUPPE AFTER THEIR TALKS WITH MILOSEV

MILOSEV $ IC BELGRADE, Dec 4 (Hina) - After today's talks of British and French Foreign Ministers, Douglas Hurd and Alain Juppe, with Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic in Belgrade the two Ministers held a press conference, Belgrade radio broadcast this evening. Minister Juppe said at the conference that during the long and useful talks the interlocutors reiterated that the solution to the crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina could be only achieved at the negotiating table, the same radio cited him. Minister Hurd said all Contact Group members and NATO believed the only possible agreement is the peaceful one. Minister Juppe added they urged that the ceasefire in Bosnia must be immediately reached, explaining that the situation was unbearable both for the Bosnian people and the UN Protection Force deployed there, according to the radio. The principles of the peace plan for Bosnia, devised by the Contact Group, remained the same. This referred to the internationally recognized borders of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the ratio of the territorial division, he said. When the plan was accepted, discussion on the exchange of the territories and on constitutional solutions in respect to the special relations with neighbouring countries could commence, Juppe added. The Belgrade talks focused on the situation in the self- proclaimed Serb 'Krajina" in Croatia (occupied Croatian areas), and the December 2 Economic Agreement between the Croatian Government and the Serb representatives from those areas. The French and British Foreign Ministers expects the negotiations between the two parties will continue, according to the same radio. (hina) mms 042059 MET dec 94
