NFCA CONDEMNS POLICY OF CLINTON'S GOVERNMENT

WASHINGTON, Dec 2 (Hina) - The National Federation of Croats in America (NFCA) yesterday issued a statement for media. The NFCA president, Ed Damich, warned in the statement that Clinton's administration carried on the misinformation campaign in order to cover up failures in foreign policy towards the former Yugoslavia and a decision to let the Bosnian people to become the victim of the Serb aggression and ethnic cleansing. The statement brought a number of excerpts from statements of President Clinton and U.S. senior officials and said that Clinton had deceived U.S. voters. It protested against lies of U.S. Secretary of Defence William Perry, i.e. against his statements on the 'Serb victory'. The statement said the NFCA had always supported the position that the arms embargo should be lifted from Croatia and Bosnia- Herzegovina since those countries were guaranteed the right to self-defence according to the U.N. Charter Article 51. The statement carried a statement by Bosnian Prime Minister Haris Silajdzic: "Give us means and we will finish the job by ourselves." (hina) mm ks 021138 MET dec 94
