MOSTAR, Dec 1 (Hina) - Serb forces today continued armed
provocations along front lines in the Orasje area of northern
Bosnia, Herzeg-Bosnia's defence officials said in a statement.
Serb troops in Covic Polje fired a dozen mortar rounds on
Matici at around 5.30 pm yesterday. An hour later, from their
strongholds at Jenjic, Lepnica and Krepsic they opened heavy
mortar fire on Vidovice, Vucilovac and the Orasje-Tuzla road.
At 8.15 pm yesterday, Serb forces positioned in Batkusa and
Novo Selo opened anti-aircraft and heavy machine-gun fire on
Croat HVO defence lines and civilian targets in the villages of
Ostra Luka and Lijeskovac.
The rest of the night passed with sporadic small arms fire
from Serb positions, especially in the eastern part of the Orasje
front.
The statement also said that Serb forces continued amassing
and regrouping their troops and military equipment in the Kupres
region, southwestern Bosnia.
In the Croat enclave of Usora, north of Sarajevo, Serb
forces stepped up anti-aircraft and machine-gun fire yesterday.
Sporadic anti-aircraft and small arms fire was also recorded
from Serb strongholds in the Mostar area.
