ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - House of Representatives vice president
Vladimir Seks today announced the House would tomorrow discuss the
progress of ownership changes and privatization.
The discussion would be preceded by reports from Prime
Minister Nikica Valentic, his deputy Borislav Skegro and
Privatization Fund president Ivan Penic. The Interior and Justice
ministers were also expected to present reports.
The discussion would focus on the effects of the model used so
far in the ownership transformation and privatization process and
highlight possible criminal deviations, Seks said.
Seks believed some dubious privatization cases were
overexaggerated. He added this caused negative public opinion that
the whole process was infested with illegalities.
Seks expected the parliamentary debate to show the true state
of affairs, which was that the number of illegalities related to
the privatization process was insignificant.
