SARAJEVO, Nov 5 (Hina) - Bosnian army troops were approaching the
town of Trnovo, situated on a highway linking Sarajevo with eastern
Bosnia, an UNPROFOR news conference in Sarajevo heard today.
The Bosnian army had gained another 2 to 3 kms on Mts Igman
and Treskavica in the past 24 hours.
According to UN spokesman Tim Spricer, the Bosnian army seized
five tanks and a considerable amount of artillery in the fighting
E. of the demilitarised zone.
UN officials described the overall situation in Sarajevo as
calm - barring yet another incident involving Serb heavy weaponry
stored under UN supervision.
Serb irregulars walked in an UN storage area in the village of
Osijek (15 km N.W. of Sarajevo) and activated two cannons.
They spent all day "exercising" with the cannons and then
left, Col. Spicer said.
