BOSNIAN ARMY FIFTH CORPS ENTERS UNPA NORTH

KARLOVAC, Sep 14 (Hina) - UNPROFOR representatives in Sector South said at today's press conference in Karlovac that refugees from western Bosnia should return to their homes because no European country is willing to accept them. Bosnian Serbs and Serb terrorists from UNPAs have been attacking the Bihac area and in that way they make difficult the return of refugees. The press conference was told that the Bihac area was hit by about 1,200 shells daily. Since 5 September, Serbs ten times have opened fire from multiple rocket launchers of the type "orkan" at the area. Bosnian Serbs managed to capture five to seven kilometers of a territory in western Bosnia. They have been supported by Serbs from the occupied Croatian areas since 8 September. According to yesterday's information from the ground, members of the Bosnian army fifth corps launched a counter-attack and entered the territory of the Republic of Croatia, the area of UNPA North to Gornji Zirovac (70 km S. of Zagreb, near the border towards Bosnia-Herzegovina). Answering the journalists' question, Wtodzim Surowiecki, the representative of the UNPROFOR command in Sector South, said that the fire from "orkans" had been opened from the direction of Serb positions in UNPA North. UNPROFOR strongly protested with the Bosnian army because they had entered the Croatian territory. UNPROFOR also protested with Serbs from UNPAs because of their support to Bosnian Serbs. UN spokesman Paul Risley told journalists that military doctors took care of 26,000 refugees from western Bosnia, accommodated in UNPA North. Many children are sick, he said. Incidents among refugees occur often. One man was seriously wounded yesterday in a brawl. (hina) jas ks 141928 MET sep 94
