BLOCKADES AT CHECKPOINTS OF UNPROFOR TO BE LIFTED TOMORROW

OSIJEK, Aug 15 (Hina) - The displaced persons of Croatia are to lift blockades at 07:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, at the checkpoints: Nemetin, Mirkovci, Lipovac, Ribnik, Jasenice, Pakovo Selo and Potravlje. The control of these points should be undertaken by the Croatian police and the Croatian government, reads a letter sent to the Croatian government and Interior Ministry by the head of the Association of Croatia's Displaced Persons, Mato Simic. The decision on ceasing with closure of the entry points for UNPROFOR was made on a session of representatives of expelled persons on August 12. The letter of the Association also requires that the 27 July agreement with the Croatian government should be implemented at the reopened official checkpoints. (hina) mm 151104 MET aug 94
