ZAGREB, Aug 5 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Ivica
Kostovic and Minister of Interior Ivan Jarnjak held talks today
with representatives of the Association of Croatia's Displaced
Persons, stated the Croatian government's information office.
The participants in today's meeting reconsidered a request
issued by the U.N. Protection Force (UNPROFOR) on opening more
crossings for a free passage. The Association of the displaced
persons assumed commitment to inform the Croatian government of a
possible lifting of blockades at some crossings by August 8.
Croatian police is now controlling 7 out of 19 officials crossings
into the U.N. Protected Areas (UNPAs), whereas the rest of them are
monitored by the displaced persons.
