CONTACT GROUP MEETS IN GENEVA AHEAD OF TOMORROW'S MINISTERIAL SESS

SESS $ ION GENEVA, July 4 (Hina) - Members of a "contact group" for Bosnia- Herzegovina convened today in the German mission to the U.N. offices in Geneva to consider a peace package for B-H ahead of tomorrow's meeting in Geneva of foreign ministers of U.S.A., Russia, Germany, France and Great Britain. According to the diplomatic circles, the "contact group" had already finalized the maps on Bosnia's territorial division in Paris and discussed the frame of future political and legal constitution of Croat-Bosniac as well as of Serb part of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Today afternoon they should consider stimulating and punitive measures for acceptance and rejection respectively of the proposed peace plan. The plan proposes that 51 p.c. of the whole of B-H is to be given to Croat- Bosniac Federation and 49 p.c. awarded to Bosnian Serbs. The President of the Croat-Bosniac Federation, Kresimir Zubak, and Bosnian Premier, Dr. Haris Silajdzic, arrived in Geneva today, while the President of the presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegovic, and a member of the presidency, Ejup Ganic, are expected to come tomorrow. A delegation of Bosnian Serb will probably arrive in Geneva also tomorrow. The Bosniac-Croat side and Bosnia Serb side were informed of some solutions included in the peace package, but they were not shown the entire package drawn up by the "contact group". According to diplomatic circles, Serbs had already negatively responded to the proposed settlements, especially to a solution referring to the Posavina corridor. The Croat-Bosniac Federation's and Serb sides arelikely to meet separately diplomats of countries interested in a peace progress in B-H tomorrow in Geneva. One of the greatest achievements of the forthcoming Geneva sessions will be signing of a memorandum on the city of Mostar under administrative protectorate of the European Union (EU). 041746 MET jul 94
