80 TONNES OF RELIEF IN VINKOVCI

VINKOVCI, Feb 4 (Hina) - A shipment of 80 tonnes of humanitarian relief from the European Union 1004 program arrived in Vinkovci today. According to the information by the local Office for receipt and distribution of humanitarian relief, 28 tonnes of food per day is needed for 15,000 displaced persons, 3,000 refugees and 9,000 social cases on the territory of Vinkovci. The relief obtained throughout 1993 provided only 20dkg of food per day per person, instead of the one kilo foreseen by European standards. 041824 MET feb 94
