VITEZ, Feb 3 (Hina) - Humanitarian aid of UNHCR was dispatched
today to the town of Vitez (under control of Bosnian Croats) and
the town section of Stari Vitez (under control of Bosnian Moslems)
in Central Bosnia.
The Moslem section of Kruscica did not receive relief aid,
though.
While trying to remove mines on the last check-point of the
Croatian Defence Council (HVO) a soldier of the British UNPROFOR
Battalion set off a frangible-mine. Fortunately he and several
members of the HVO of Vitez, who happened to be there, got minor
injures. But the incident was the reason why the British officer
decided to not to continue with action, and convoy trucks loaded
with food returned to their starting point.
The commander of the HVO of Vitez stated that they had agreed
with the British officer to deliver humanitarian aid to Kruscica
the next day.
Six gravely wounded were evacuated today from Nova Bila to
Kiseljak by UNPROFOR vehicles, whereas six seriously wounded from
the section of Mahala (a part of Stari Vitez) were transported to
the hospital in Zenica.
