GENEVA, Jan 17 (Hina) - Russian President' Special Envoy for former
Yugoslavia Vitaly Churkin said on Monday, after talks held with
Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic in Geneva, that new
interesting suggestions were presented in Croatia's proposal on the
relations between Croats and Moslems in Bosnia-Herzegovina,
especially considering the Moslem access to the sea. He added that
it showed Croatia's will to reach an agreement.
Minister Granic said that Croatia supported the European Union
and its proposals on achieving peace.
Commenting on statements by the Moslem leadership which said
that the Bosnian conflict could be put under the patronage of the
Security Council, Granic said that Croatia's attitude is that the
problem should be solved within the European Union and in the co-
operation with it.
"The mutual recognition between Croatia and Serbia is
important, as well as establishing of ceasefire in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, especially between Croats and Moslems," said Granic.
