CROATIA TO BACK JUPPE-KINKEL PLAN AT BONN TALKS

$ ZAGREB, Jan 7 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic will hold another round of talks on the crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday in Bonn. The talks will be conducted within the framework of the Kinkel-Juppe proposal, approved by the European Union. It is expected that Croatia, which is supporting the European approach, will put forward a number of new arguments to back the plan. Last year in Geneva, Presidents Tudjman and Izetbegovic defined, in a joint statement, the framework of the future relations between the Croat and Moslem communities in Bosnia- Herzegovina. Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Mate Granic and Bosnian Prime Minister Haris Silajdzic confirmed two days ago in Vienna that urgent cessation of hostilities was considered by both parties to be essential for a durable solution to the crisis. The co-chairmen of the International Conference on Former Yugoslavia have already arrived in Bonn. Their participation in the talks is expected in the diplomatic circles. 071252 MET jan 94
