ZAGREB, May 29 (Hina) - On Monday the Croatian Parliament House of
Counties refused by majority of votes a proposal to send back the
act on the national security and defence office to the House of
Representatives to reconsider.
The proposal to the Upper House was submitted by the Croatian
Social-Democratic Party (HSLS) deputies.
A HSLS member, Mate Mestrovic, explained the standpoints of
those deputies at today's session, and commented on several flaws
of the act.
On Mestrovic's opinion the act was "unfinished" which might
lead to arbitrariness in the office's work.
